Privacy Policy

Most core editing work happens in the browser on the device you are using. The site can keep a selected photo and preset in browser session storage while you move between tools. The main editor can also save a working session in IndexedDB or local storage in your browser so that a refresh does not immediately lose the work.

These copies stay on your device rather than becoming a PassportPhotoBox account project. They can remain until you clear the relevant tool, clear PassportPhotoBox site data in your browser or remove the browser profile itself. A file that you download is another separate copy under your control.

A remote feature is different from an editor control that runs on your device. Creative image generation sends the image input selected for that feature to the site's artificial intelligence route, which can use the processor configured for that action. Background removal first attempts a model that runs in the browser. If that does not finish, the product can send an image copy through a remote backup route to Hugging Face image processing services.

Use a remote feature only when you are comfortable with that transfer. Official Document Mode blocks the creative image generation action because a generated result is not an appropriate substitute for an official identity photograph. The subprocessor register explains the processor categories that can be involved and should be checked again when a service is enabled or changed.

When you use a contact or payment feature, PassportPhotoBox can receive the information you enter for that request, such as your name, email address, topic, message, transaction reference or project reference. Do not put a passport, identity document, payment card details or an original portrait in an ordinary support message. The contact form is designed without a photo attachment for that reason.

The service can also process technical information needed to deliver the page, prevent abuse and diagnose an error. This site does not describe a face recognition service or a general facial profile database. It does not use uploaded passport or ID photos to build a general facial recognition database.

The browser uses the information needed to prepare the file you request. A remote processor receives an image only when the selected feature needs it. Support information is used to respond to the issue described. When a payment feature is available, the information needed to investigate a payment problem can be used for that purpose.

PassportPhotoBox does not currently present advertising or analytics tools that receive photo pixels, face measurements or other sensitive image data. If optional analytics or advertising is introduced, PassportPhotoBox will describe it clearly and provide the required choice before that technology runs.

You can remove local working copies through the browser and remove downloaded files from your device separately. Include only the minimum information needed to find the relevant record.

Privacy rights depend on the law that applies to you and the kind of information involved. PassportPhotoBox will assess a request using the available identity check and the live system records. This public policy does not remove any rights that applicable law gives you.

A parent or authorised guardian can use a tool to prepare a child's photo for a legitimate application. Do not upload another person's image unless you have authority to handle it. The product does not invite children to create an account or send an identity photo to support without a parent or guardian's involvement.
